Used car dealers pay a flat monthly fee to gain access to a large network of other dealers looking to buy/sell between each other. A Car Jockey account interfaces with a dealer’s inventory feed, and can be set to automatically post any inventory over a certain age in their system. It is also easy to add multiple vehicles manually and check to see if the imported data is missing any important info. On the left, we see the step in the import process that interfaces with a 3rd party wholesale valuation system introduced to keep prices fair. It was a challenge to come up with meaningful features and 3rd party partnerships to balance the attractiveness, effectiveness, and ease of use. I was thrilled when a dealer told me he was saving $13,000 a month using Car Jockey to move his cold inventory instead of traditional auctions, which involve several fees per vehicle sold.
